Our Vision

Our vision is a Canada where suicide prevention is a national priority, and everyone has timely access to the mental health support and resources they need. We believe no one should have to face a mental health crisis alone, and that meaningful change begins with awareness, compassion, and action.

Through advocacy, education, and collaboration, we strive to create a future where mental health is treated with the urgency it deserves, stigma is replaced with understanding, and every person feels seen, supported, and valued. Because when it comes to saving lives, hope can’t wait.

Campaign Objectives

The Hope Can't Wait Campaign has a mission of reducing the stigma around suicide, working to ensure public education around suicide prevention efforts and supports, and supporting efforts of organizations and people working towards the creation of a national suicide prevention strategy.

Public Awareness

The Campaign works to raise public awareness around resources and supports for supporing an indiviausl mental well-being, as wel as around suicide prevention measures and supports.

Creation of a National Strategy

At its heart, the Campaign is advocating for and submitting recommendations for a national suicide prevention strategy to strengthen efforts in Canada for suicide prevention.

Stigma Reduction

Stigma is often a barrier for people seeking help or support. The Campaign has a goal to work to reduce that stigma around self-harm, suicide, and mental health.
